Our target user is any guest looking for a little more depth and engagement in between attractions. With the many static set pieces and features in the park, we felt there were opportunities to create miniature interactions unified by a central thread of story. Our goal was to think of a game that would engage guests on a level that made the story about them (joining a larger organization to catalogue the mysteries of the Islands) while giving players a reason to explore some of the perhaps less visited or often passed-by areas of the park. We felt that the possibility of making guests' own mobile devices the platforms for VR experiences would be a convenient way to allow players to see and interact with characters that are difficult to achieve with effects outside of attractions.

Ideally, this game would engage individuals but also be a fun activity for families to work on together, or compete against each other. League of Adventure missions, being assigned to guests based on an individual profile, might direct different guests to different areas of the park to help distribute guest flow.

We felt that the Port of Entry's theme has potential to be expanded into something that could tie each of the islands together - we were inspired by the themed mannequins in the Trader Market store to suggest an existing cast of characters homed to that area, who would be unique to IoA and could behave independent of the park's other licensed properties, while having a broad connection to each of them (explorers and researchers.) We're proud of visually communicating what we feel is a fun concept, and showing an example of how temporarily immersive VR experiences could help bring to life otherwise static park features (the Spinosaurus statue.)
