🌿 About Leaf Lens Inspiration Plant diseases are a major cause of crop loss, especially for farmers and home gardeners who may not have immediate access to agricultural experts. We wanted to create a simple, AI-powered solution that enables anyone to identify plant diseases quickly using just a photo of a leaf. Our goal was to make early disease detection more accessible and support healthier, more sustainable farming practices.

What it does Leaf Lens is an AI-powered web application that allows users to upload an image of a plant leaf and receive an instant analysis. The application identifies potential plant diseases and provides helpful information and care recommendations. Its intuitive interface makes advanced plant diagnostics easy to use for farmers, gardeners, students, and agriculture enthusiasts.

How we built it We developed the application using modern web technologies for a responsive and user-friendly interface. Artificial intelligence powers the image analysis, enabling accurate plant disease detection from uploaded leaf images. We integrated the frontend, backend, and AI model to deliver real-time predictions and recommendations through a seamless web experience.

Challenges we ran into One of the biggest challenges was integrating the AI model with the web application while ensuring accurate and fast predictions. We also focused on handling different image qualities, improving the user experience, and optimizing the application's performance within the limited timeframe of the project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of Built a fully functional AI-powered plant disease detection web application. Successfully integrated AI image analysis with a responsive user interface. Created an intuitive experience that makes plant disease diagnosis simple and accessible. Developed a solution with practical value for agriculture and gardening. What we learned Throughout this project, we gained hands-on experience integrating AI with web development, improving user interface design, managing project workflows, and solving real-world challenges through teamwork. We also learned the importance of building technology that is both accurate and easy to use.

What's next for Leaf Lens In the future, we plan to support more plant species and diseases, improve prediction accuracy with larger datasets, add multilingual support, provide personalized treatment recommendations, and launch a mobile application so users can diagnose plant diseases anytime, anywhere.
