The project is a game where the player seeks to escape waves of zombies that will hunt you down. Navigate obstacles while fending off bloodthirsty zombies.
So far in the game:
- Pathfinding
- Tanks
- Force fields
- Medkits
- Landmines
- Text to speech (system dependent)
- Crates
- Infinite world generation with a system that generates chunks (could be optimized)
- Zombie waves that get tougher to beat
- Shaders for nice little effects to various parts of the game
- For the women and gender minorities aspect, I snuck in some wichack cat tiles and a trans flag forcefield
- Easter egg for when you die
This was a pretty simple project that I just learned stuff like navigation, made use of signals, and very quickly found out that I should probably maintain my code better in a real project.
Adapting physics forces was also a big challenge in my game.
