The project is a game where the player seeks to escape waves of zombies that will hunt you down. Navigate obstacles while fending off bloodthirsty zombies.

So far in the game:

  • Pathfinding
  • Tanks
  • Force fields
  • Medkits
  • Landmines
  • Text to speech (system dependent)
  • Crates
  • Infinite world generation with a system that generates chunks (could be optimized)
  • Zombie waves that get tougher to beat
  • Shaders for nice little effects to various parts of the game
  • For the women and gender minorities aspect, I snuck in some wichack cat tiles and a trans flag forcefield
  • Easter egg for when you die

This was a pretty simple project that I just learned stuff like navigation, made use of signals, and very quickly found out that I should probably maintain my code better in a real project.

Adapting physics forces was also a big challenge in my game.
