Inspiration

Language learning has long been a challenge for individuals worldwide. Despite a growing number of resources, mastering a new language remains difficult due to various cognitive and practical barriers. However, with advancements in AI and the increasing popularity of gaming, new methods of learning are emerging that make language acquisition more engaging, effective, and personalized.

What it does

Allows you to create your own personalised language tutor and bring he/she to life.

How we built it

A mixture of diffusion, multimodal & speech models to create the avatar and add a real time speech to it.

Challenges we ran into

Tech is so new that there isn't much of an example to go by

Got a real time personalised avatar capable of using as a language buddy and creating some agentic workflows.

What we learned

Leant about how much of a difference low latency can make to the experience and help with immersion.
