Inspiration: We were inspired by Google's self driving cars and we wanted to create something similar, but not exactly the same so we decided to make a car that could follow a laser.
What it does: It follows a light and if it cannot find the light, it moves and looks for the light.
How I built it: We built it using legos and an arduino board that controls 2 motors, obstacle avoidance sensor, and a laser light.
Challenges I ran into: The motors have not been working and we are trying to figure out the electrical engineering part of it.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of: getting the legos to stay together and getting the motors to work
What I learned: I learned how complex the wiring for a arduino can be, and how to program a light sensor. we also learned about the difficulties of electrical engineering, because of our trouble with the Breadboard. our trouble included completing the circuits, and trying not to short circuit the board... or break the lego truck.
What's next for LazerLulu: short lived fame, then disassembly, and obscurity.
