LawyerMatch is a one-stop integrated mobile application aimed at easing legal navigation for financially-strained individuals ineligible for legal aid. A client-lawyer matching algorithm and chatbot assistant eases their process of finding lawyers who possess the required expertise at suitable price points.

Upon launching LawyerMatch, users will meet Nexus, our friendly chatbot assistant. It will sort clients into different financial tiers, assess their suitability for LawyerMatch, and direct them to appropriate courses of action. Clients eligible for legal aid will be directed to apply for relevant schemes, while ineligible clients will be directed to apply for LawyerMatch. Uninformed clients will be provided information regarding existing legal aid schemes. LawyerMatch thus acts as a centralised information bank, providing clients with important information without the need to web-scrape for information. Additionally, LawyerMatch clients will be screened for their eligibility for our in-house subsidised rates based on their SingPass financial information.

Firstly, users are required to input key information such as preferred languages, price range, areas of expertise and required services for our matching process. Next, the information will be leveraged by our algorithm to generate a list of lawyers in descending order of client-lawyer percentage matches in the Marketplace. Additionally, lawyer profiles including estimated rates, ratings and reviews of the suggested lawyers, alongside legal lingo prompts aid in helping clients make informed choices and ease legal system navigation. This streamlines the search process and lowers the linguistic barrier faced by clients.

Clients can subsequently contact their lawyers of choice through our in-app client-lawyer messaging system, which supports document uploads and post-partnership services such as lawyer ratings and reviews, enabling future clients to make more informed decisions. Additionally, the report function filters out problematic users.

With LawyerMatch, legal navigation is finally made more accessible to those in need.
