Inspiration
Frustration with complex legal processes led to the creation of the AI-based legal assistant, LawAssist aiming to simplify and democratize access to legal information and advice.
What it does
LawAssist empowers you to understand legal documentation efficiently, understand legal documents better, and access legal expertise when needed. It aims to simplify the often complex and time-consuming process of dealing with legal matters, ultimately increasing access to justice for individuals and small businesses.
How we built it
We built the AI-based legal assistant using Django, a powerful Python web framework. Django's robust features facilitated rapid development, allowing seamless integration of AI algorithms for enhanced legal guidance.
Challenges we ran into
Challenges included refining AI's legal understanding and optimizing performance. Balancing user-friendliness with legal accuracy posed a significant design challenge during development.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Our proudest accomplishments include participating in our first hackathon, successfully creating an AI legal assistant and the knowledge we gained through the mentorship during the hackathon.
