Inspiration
The inspiration for developing a law learning mobile application for kids stemmed from a deep-seated belief in the importance of early education about rights and responsibilities. Growing up, I noticed a significant gap in how legal concepts were taught to children, often finding them to be either too complex or not addressed at all in traditional educational settings. Witnessing the consequences of this lack of knowledge, such as uninformed decisions and a disconnect from civic duties, I felt compelled to create a solution.
What it does
The mobile application interactively helps kids learn the law.
How we built it
We first did some research about simplifying the law curriculum for kids, with the help of friends from who study law, we came up with a simplified way of helping kids to learn. We started the designs and built the application from scratch.
Challenges we ran into
The deadlines were tight since we joined when the hackathon was almost over, my teammate had some other commitments so she withdrew from the project.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am proud of having reached this far. Although it is incomplete I believe I might get a chance at it.
What we learned
I learnt alot about time management and learning new things within a short time span.
What's next for Law-Learn Pro
I will use AI for the quizzes and probably look for people to help with designing a game that will engage the kids in the same.
