Problem: TAKEN FROM SOURCE: The challenge: Hospital-wide recording of bed capacities (separated at least into normal and intensive care areas) via a web service/web portal. Building prediction models based on historical data and current infection rates (rate, population density in the vicinity) regarding bed capacities. Targeted load distribution through early detection of bottlenecks.
GOAL: Maintain a Swiss-wide database of hospitals with available beds in care units in order to better dispatch new patients. Parameter in patient's address and needs and allocate them the appropriate hospital. This project is at least a proof of concept of an actual implementation of such a system.
