Inspiration MIT and Harvard have experienced similar issues, and past experience working with NFC tags inspired this idea.
What it does Uses the pre-existing app and company ecosystem to allow students to check how long cycles are going, which machines are claimed or not in use. It also allows students to claim machines using their ID cards and NFC tags, both already cheap and readily available making the process smooth and easy.
How we built it Changes to the app and implementation of NFC tags or other scanners are how we can put this idea into action.
