Inspiration
Launch teams are forced to make go/no-go decisions from scattered Jira issues, partial evidence and subjective traffic lights. LaunchProof helps product, design, marketing and operations teams see what the data actually supports.
What it does
LaunchProof is a context-aware readiness dashboard embedded in a Jira project. It reads the issues the current user is authorized to see, assesses the whole project or a specific Jira release, and presents completed work, blocked tasks, overdue items, missing owners, missing descriptions and prioritized action steps. Users can filter and inspect individual Jira issue signals and export the report. A Rovo Release Coach and two reusable Rovo MCP actions can analyze the same issue evidence through natural language.
How we built it
The new source implementation uses Atlassian Forge jira:projectPage, a Forge resolver with user-authorized Jira REST v3 requests, deterministic readiness rules, a rovo:agent module, a rovo:mcp module and two action modules. JavaScript, Vite, HTML and CSS power the interface. The app requests read-only Jira permissions and does not send issue data to external services.
Design principles
The score is a transparent heuristic, never an automated launch approval. Every risk signal is derived from an issue's status, priority, labels, due date, assignee or documentation. Missing evidence and incomplete Jira pagination are disclosed rather than shown as success.
Current verification status
The calculation engine and Jira data-aggregation tests pass locally, and the standalone interactive UI has been checked on desktop and mobile with fictional sample data. Real Forge deployment, registered app ID, production installation link, live Jira integration and Rovo runtime testing are not yet completed. The live production YouTube demo must be recorded once the app is installed and tested. This is a work-in-progress Devpost draft, not a final submitted entry.
Future work
After Forge deployment: validate access controls and real Jira/Rovo behavior, distribute a Forge installation link for judges, capture the required public YouTube demonstration and finalize the Codegeist submission.
