Inspiration
This project was based from not only a single prompt, but a goal. As a group, Paya and I decided to not only create a database which provides critical elements of speed or velocity for a moving rocket, but we decided to go beyond to create the hardware and software elements of our project as accurate as possible. After all, the prompt for the Hackathon was to "shoot for the stars"
What it does
A microbit is cushioned in a container which is attached to our rocket. When the rocket is launched into the air, the microbit tracks it's speed, veocity, and more using it's built in sensors.
How we built it
For the hardware, we needed 2 cola bottles, a tennis ball, some cardboard, a cork, a cushion, another container and a microbit set to complete the features of the rocket. Software features were done in godot's 2D and 3D development setups.
Challenges we ran into
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The microbits ability to track movement. The completion and success of the rocket build.
