For many students and teachers in today's age of online learning, it is very difficult to prepare organized notes in an easy and efficient fashion. EzLaTeX brings the power of the popular academic document processing language LaTeX with a plethora of convenient features and no prior experience required. Simply create an EzLaTeX project and select 'insert', and several options become available. You can add equations to your document by typing them in natural language or by uploading a handwritten picture. EzLaTeX will interpret it either way and create LaTeX code to represent it. Moreover, for any chemistry students, EzLaTeX allows you to insert a molecular structure image simply by inputting a molecule name. The image to equation feature supports chemical equations as well. To organize your information, you can delineate everything into clean sections and subsections. At the end, you'll get a nicely formatted PDF of your project.

I worked mainly on the back-end (Python), specifically taking in an image input and converting it into LaTeX code, as well as rendering that into a PNG preview. I also wrote the overarching back-end functions to be called by the front-end for all user insertions. On the front-end side (PyQt), I worked on the submissions of user inputs including text entry and file upload. Finally, I created the LaTeX template for everything to be compiled into.
