Inspiration
LaTeX is a tool that makes writing complex mathematical, non-latin expressions, and formatting easier and neater. We wanted to create a project that would be able to help people with limited or no knowledge of LaTeX and its syntax learn the basics and better their understanding.
What it does
LaTeX TuToR is an interactive application designed to help people learn the LaTeX syntax. The user is given an expression that is rendered using LaTeX, and they are prompted to input the corresponding LaTeX used to output this expression.
How we built it
LaTeX TuToR is built using MathJax, React, TypeScript, and Yarn.
Challenges we ran into
We had difficulties with operability between different browsers; our application would function well on some less than ideal on others.
