Valentine's day was coming up; wanted to create something simple that would help people

What it does

Generates the perfect last minute gift to give to your loved one. Just click on a button and it returns to you the product name, price, and image

How we built it

We webscraped from the website gifts.com, loaded the information into a json file, and transferred the information over to the webpage

Challenges we ran into

API keys were hard to obtain and a lot of good websites prevented webscraping altogether (thanks Amazon and Walmart). Also, integrating things together were rough

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We pushed through the difficulty of coming up with a feasible and good idea, and we were able to bring multiple languages/applications together

What we learned

APIs are rough to use and require some prior knowledge, come up with a feasible idea sooner or maybe before hackathon
