Inspiration - There are many factors which are considered for optimizing the delivery solutions. We were motivated to optimize the algorithm because it will be effective for business and will make sure that the resources are used judiciously. Apart from that less power would be consumed in delivery (electricity/petroleum products) as returns and delivery would be managed optimally.
What it does
It helps in management of the parcel delivery and return pathways by using extended TSP considering weights/volume of the parcel.
How we built it
We first implemented search based TSP
Challenges we ran into - Tech Stack of the team was not overlapping.
Accomplishments that we're proud of - We have successfully managed to optimize the TSP using GA and we have considered the factor of weights ,all in real time
What we learned - Google Map APi , TSP , Dijkstra , Javascript , FrontEnd Development , Managing JSON
What's next for Last mile delivery and returns - Adding more features apart from weights like volume of the parcels.
