It was a story I had in my head for a while, an idea for a man who has to deal with a possessed son. I like the trope as obviously, you can't hurt him as he is your son but at the same time he is possessed by something dangerous like a demon. We built the project using various pixel art programs, Godot, and AI chatbots as we were new and liked to be customized to learn how to use Godot and the program. I feel like by making this project, it really accelerated my understanding of game development and the Godot engine further. All the artwork is custom and handmade for this project, such as the sprites for the characters and for the minigames.

This was a fun, simple game that I helped developed alongside Courtney. This was also my first time ever developing a game from scratch! I did most of the pixel artwork for this game, and it was such a blast! During this project, I was able to gain back my artistic skills again since the last time I did artwork such as this was when I was still in middle school. I did all my pixel art on a mobile app called Pixquare. At first, navigating on this art app was not easy, for I had to watch multiple tutorials on how to use it. However, when I finally began drawing on the app, it became much easier and friendlier to use. After developing this project, I learned how to develop and create software under a fixed amount of time and how to get along with other developers working on one development project. After creating artwork for this game, I feel like I could make more advanced pixel artwork in the near future. Overall, this Hackathon helped me create our first ever game.
