Inspiration

Lost lots of time building. Had something cool. Many friends complain about dead Github projects or opensourcing their old products.

What it does

Let's people describe their products via WhatsApp bot, transcribes, extracts the novelty and uses GPT-4o to create a script.

Uses script with various Captions avatars to create large scale AI UGC content for product launches/consumer applications.

How we built it

Challenges we ran into

  • Team got tired at 3am. Team gave up.
  • Hard to ship given large incident happening in personal life.
  • Struggled to integrate voicenote-to-voicenote interactions via WhatsApp for demo.
  • Didn't find time to use transcription in scripting, so had to prompt engineer.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Strategy of LLMs + AI UGC works to create draft variations in scale.
  • Using bash scripts and python on a VPS (super hackathon vibes).

What we learned

  • Find a faster way to build frontends based on design (that isn't react).
  • Come more organised with an idea and team that we scope out ahead of time.
  • How to use voice notes and media downloads in WhatsApp and Captions.

What's next for Lasso - An AI UGC creator cloud

  • Continue WhatsApp voice integration
  • Use ElevenLabs text-to-speech for responding to user to curate the generated outputs.
