About
We want more mixed-reality games that don't just exist in your environment, but make the environment part of the game. We also want games that encourage real-life socializing and physical movement. Lasertag is a prototype of such a game. It turns any space into a laser tag arena for you and your friends.
Lasertag uses the environment depth texture (DepthAPI) for bullet collision with real objects. This means you can hit moving things and nobody has to scan the room.
Playing with friends is (nearly) frictionless. The game will automatically discover hosts on LAN and colocation is fast and automatic. You don't need to manually enter IP addresses or fiddle with anchor placement and sharing.
This is a super rough prototype with limited features, but hopefully demonstrates what we're aiming for
As an experiment, the game supports colocation with multiple anchors. If you disable your guardian you can place anchors in several rooms and turn an entire floor into an arena. This is fiddly though, so it isn't 'officially' supported :)
