Inspiration

Our hobbies kind of gave us a different view on this project. We attempted to align it with some of the things we currently like to do as we are much more comfortable there.

What it does

Calculates the point of an object in a XYZ plane without having to tell the objects distance. This makes it very valuable for long space missions as they can calculate where they are from their point and do not need to rely on the long travel time light takes

How we built it

We used a though experiment, proved it in 3d visualization and then used a 2D game as a proof of concept.

Challenges we ran into

We had a lot of trouble when it came to getting math to work on the game, however we got it to display the different angles and we realized it is easy to visualize how there is a unique set of triangles for every point on the plane

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we could redefine the way we use coordinates on the XYZ plane.

What we learned

We learned that math can be awfully hard to code in certain language like C# and that there is a lot of work needed to get everything to flow as you would like, this was unaccomplished by us in this time frame.

What's next for Laser Vision Calculations

Using it in some experiments at home and using mechanical and physical models to help further the calculation efficiency and accuracy of said position.
