Inspiration
Every night i sleep i fear that someone is or can enter my house. To solve this , i thought of building Laser Alarm System.
What it does
When someone try to open the door , then the door crosses the laser. As a result , a sound (alarm) is produced.
How I built it
This alarm system consists of two parts:
- Alarm with timer
- Laser
Alarm with timer How long the alarm will switch on can be set by tuning the potentiometer. The higher the resistance, the longer the alarm will sound.
Laser Laser will point to LDR. If laser is being blocked by any object, the alarm will sound.
Please refer to the circuit diagram to make sure the project will work as it should.
Challenges I ran into
Since the battery drained out very fast because laser diode and buzzer consume a lot of energy. That is why we use power supply in this system
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Now I can sleep without any fear at night. What can be bigger accomplishment than sleeping at night without fear.
What I learned
I learned how to tune potentiometer so that alarm sound can be suitable to hear. Also how can we connect two hardwares to build a product that actually solves real world problem.
What's next for Laser Alarm System
1) Notification/Message - When laser is blocked , a notification through email or via message will be delivered to owner.
