Inspiration
I love the barber shop Las Vegas from Heidelberg, Germany, but is always difficult to get appointments since they are very popular. I wanted to help them by digitalizing their business to make their booking process easier.
What it does
Is simply a website which will have the calendar there, and a form to request appointments, but I started by focusing in the Facebook Messenger experience since it helps me to make cleaner code, and many customers are contacting the barber shop via Facebook.
How I built it
My base is joomla, then I implemented my Component to integrate with the Messenger Platform. From there is all about the workflow.
At this point I have not activated wit.ai for this bot, so is completly sequential.
Challenges I ran into
Time! This contest inspired me to speed up! that is why I am giving access via test user. This one still needs a lot of testing.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Hopefully this initiative will help my barber to optimize the schedule of the Barber Shop, get more customers, and worry less about getting the phone to get the appointments.
What I learned
Is quite difficult to work with available times when you have the booked times. That was a true challenge! Additionally, helping our local businesses with this kind of tools is very satisfactory.

I will finalize the translations of the bot, and then keep going with the public Calendar and forms for booking via the website.
