What inspired me
Everyday scrolling through LinkedIn, just to get stuck in obnoxious traps of overcomplicated projects that make absolutely no sense but make profiles "look good." What if I could turn this into an actual skill?
We have seen this everywhere — it doesn't matter how much impact you can make; if you do not present your work effectively, you cannot be seen by others. Even if it is just a small, mundane task.
That's why I created LARPedIn. Not just as a satirical project that mocks those who use garbage AI LARP on their profiles, but also as a skill builder that differentiates a real, good LARP from a useless one.
What I learned
I did this entire project in Indian time zones, and that meant staying up till literally 4 a.m. working on it. Considering this is my very first hackathon, I am proud that I was able to push through and not give up, even though my brain was at its absolute limit.
How I built my project
By multitasking: doing the UI design myself and dedicating the backend work to Claude Code, then allowing Claude Code to check my UI designs and further improve on them. Not taking breaks in between and just pushing through. Using APIs and databases, and also having to constantly re-train my AI models.
Challenges
Sleepiness, lack of experience, and pressure — as I had to wake up early the next day and attend another exam. However, regardless of these challenges, I take pride in being able to push forward and finish this project. Regardless of a win or not, this was a huge learning experience for me, and for my sleep tolerance.
There is a file called JOURNAL.md which captures the entire process of this 12 hour build I have used featherless.ai as the backbone of the AI agents in this project
