Inspiration

According to pusiknas.polri.go.id Crime activity rate from the start of 2026 until July 2026 reached 239,621 which is extremely high. With the highest criminal activities is nearby the street, during midnight. Knowing that, us as a indonesian students, we're really worried about how high criminal rate especially in Indonesia. Therefore, we created a concept where people in Indonesia can report a crime within one click of a button, We present to you, LaporYuk.id.

What it does

LaporYuk.id can help with crime reporting within few seconds and the best thing about it is, everyone can use it. This app allows the user to get rescue or help from authorized people depends on your case and urgency. By clicking the big exclamation mark button on main page, you can make an instant report (With misclick prevention) and it'll contact emergency contact that is registered on your app (You can add up to 2 contact number). We have multiple features that are very useful and easy to use such as:

  • Emergency Quick Report (Big Exclamation Mark Button)
  • Detailed Report (You can choose your emergency situation, there's already multiple selection provided by the app, and we also have "Other Condition"option if ur situation isn't on one of the options).
  • 2 Languages Option.
  • 2 SignIn/SignUp Method (Google/LaporYuk Accounts).
  • Create Accounts & Change Password.
  • Live Location Tracker (Your Location Will be shared to authoritized person, if an emergency happens).
  • Voice to text (If the situation isn't possible for typing).
  • AI Summary & Voice Transcript (To help summarize your problem to make sure its the right emergency).
  • Edit your transcripted text. (If the Voice to text make mistakes).
  • Explain wether you're in a safe place or not, to check the emergency priority.
  • Save and Contact Emergency Contact (If needed) that you has Inputed on the app. (Up to 2 Person, there'll also be list of government's emergency contact you can reach out to).
  • Track your current or previous reports in real-time.
  • Profile and Permisions Settings (SOS Shortcut Feature, SNS Fallback, Precise Location, Silent Mode, All 4 can be disabled or enabled as you wish).

How we built it

404 Brain Not Found (Our team name) has chosen to develop the app without using or writing any codes, so we use Figma as our main software to make this idea come to life. We've made alot of frameworks, and features in the app, as you can see from above. We're also using figma's feature such as Parrot for translation. Since its also our first time using Figma and our first Hackathon, so we spend our day one to learn the features and functions on figma, we also used ChatGPT to help us on getting to know about the app more and share our thoughts so the AI can help us maximizing our design and idea.

Challenges we ran into

It is our first hackathon we're very confused on what are the goals, what can we do, what should we make, what's the purpose, how can we make our idea come to life and we're not if we can finish it just in time. Also we're not familiar with any apps that are mentioned on the guideline, so as we mentioned already we have to spend more time on studying and learning how the app works. Luckily Figma provided a good experience for new users for them to explore this software. The first second we opened the software, we're confused on what to do, which force us to open Youtube and ChatGPT to ask for guides.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Firstly, we've sucessfully found a great idea with the of mentors from the GarudaHack 7.0. Secondly, we're very proud as a begineer we can create such app that we're really love and liked. We're grateful to be in the same team, as we help eachother on our first experience and some sacrifices is made to achieve this accomplishments, such as the lack of sleep and food. We did not expect to have this much feature and still can finish in time even after mentors critics and suggestions. We are also very proud to say that we can solve one real life problems with our app, we didn't make this app just for the competition, we also made it to think about how the user can use this app without any confusion and for their safety.

What we learned

  • Critical Thinking with the use of technologies.
  • Real life problems can also be solved with these small ideas.
  • How to work as a team.
  • How to manage our time efficiently.
  • How to use Figma.

What's next for LaporYuk.id

Future App Development Ideas (If we have time or the budget to develop the app more) :

  • AI Chatbot (Consultation and generic chats about emergency situation/condition).
  • 2 Button Press as Shortcut on mobile.
  • Widget for faster & easier access.
  • More Responsivity for multiple different devices.
  • Tutorial for new app users (Can be skipped if needed).
