Inspiration

A lot of makers provide masks and use Facebook forums, and other platforms, not suitable to coordinates their production and communication. Some peoples need masks but don't know where to go, some peoples produce but don't know where to deliver or some of them have too many requests and can not produce enough. So we decided to tackle by providing a platform dedicated to connecting makers, and health workers.

What it does

When connected, as a mask producer, or health care worker, a map allow you to know who need masks, as a worker, the platform allow you to know where to ask, for now, an algorithm will send you a mail with the most suitable email, for the future we are working on a chat system with scalability allowing to create a private chat messaging service between the healthcare workers and makers.

How I built it

With our team, we built our platform around opensource tools like flask, MySQL, PHP, Python, leaflet, javascript, on a Linux server.

Challenges I ran into

Build a good team, with complementary skills, able to be focused on medical and maker usage on the same platform, and provide a confident feeling for the user.

It's important to ask because a lot of people are ready to help when the issues worth it, and the project makes sense. And with a team with good skills set things to get better.

For the future, we need to find the right peoples to collaborate with, finish chat implementation and finish our check on privacy, security threat, and privacy.
