Inspiration
The inspiration for the Language Learning Bot stemmed from my desire to make language learning more engaging and personalized. Traditional language learning methods often lack the interactivity and real-time feedback that can significantly enhance the learning experience. By leveraging the power of AI, I aimed to create a platform that not only provides personalized learning paths but also simulates real-life conversations to help users practice and improve their language skills.
How I Built the Project
The project was built using the following technologies:
- Frontend: React, Styled Components, Axios
- Backend: Flask, Flask-CORS, OpenAI API
Steps to Build the Project:
- Setup: I started by setting up a React application for the frontend and a Flask application for the backend.
- Integrating OpenAI: I integrated the OpenAI API into the Flask backend to handle user inputs and generate AI-driven responses.
- Interactive Components: I created interactive components in React for conversations and adaptive reviews.
- API Endpoints: I developed API endpoints in Flask to manage requests for interactive conversations and adaptive reviews.
- Styling: I used Styled Components to ensure a consistent and visually appealing design across the application.
Challenges I Faced
I had some time constraints that greatly effected the final outcome of my project but am looking on finishing the backend later
Despite these challenges, the project provided valuable learning experiences and a strong foundation for future development.
