Inspiration : To prevent property-document forgery and ownership disputes by creating a trusted, tamper-evident digital record.
What it does : Verifies property documents, tracks ownership history, detects conflicting claims, and securely records transfers using blockchain.
How we built it : Built using React.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Hyperledger Fabric (permissioned blockchain), cryptographic hashing, digital signatures, and secure off-chain storage.
Challenges we ran into : Designing secure blockchain workflows, maintaining data privacy, and linking documents with accurate ownership history.
Accomplishments that we're proud of : Created a prototype that combines document verification, property conflict detection, and immutable ownership tracking.
What we learned : How blockchain, cryptography, and secure document management can address real-world legal challenges.
What's next for ChainStorm : Integrate authorized government registries, expand legal-document support, and deploy the system for real-world property verification.
