Inspiration

Starting a company in the U.S. as an international founder is unnecessarily overwhelming. Most founders are forced to navigate incorporation, EINs, banking, taxes, visa limitations, compliance, and operating documents through scattered websites, legal jargon, and disconnected tools.

We were inspired by a simple question: What if founders could just talk through their situation instead of spending weeks figuring out where to begin?

LandingOS was built to reduce uncertainty for immigrant entrepreneurs by turning a complicated startup journey into a guided, conversational experience.

⸻

What it does

LandingOS is a voice-first operating system for international founders launching U.S. companies.

The platform begins with a natural conversation. As founders speak, LandingOS listens, extracts important information in real time, and builds a live founder profile. From there, the system identifies blockers, evaluates launch readiness, and generates a personalized “Mission Control” dashboard with next steps, evidence tracking, and draft operating documents.

Instead of asking founders to manually understand every process, LandingOS helps them answer one question at a time: What should I do next?

⸻

How we built it

We combined speech processing, structured data extraction, and workflow orchestration into a single founder experience.

The system captures conversational inputs, converts them into structured founder data, and maps those inputs into actionable startup workflows. We designed a backend logic layer that evaluates founder readiness, identifies missing requirements, and dynamically generates recommendations based on the founder’s situation.

On the frontend, we focused heavily on simplicity and clarity. We wanted the experience to feel less like filling out legal forms and more like talking to a trusted operator guiding you through the launch process.

⸻

Challenges we ran into

One of the biggest challenges was translating unstructured conversations into reliable structured workflows. Founders describe their situations differently, often using incomplete or ambiguous information, so we had to design systems that could still extract meaningful signals and determine actionable next steps.

Another challenge was balancing automation with trust. Legal, immigration, and compliance-related workflows carry high stakes, so the experience needed to feel accurate, transparent, and confidence-building rather than overly automated or generic.

We also had to simplify a deeply fragmented process into something intuitive without oversimplifying the complexity founders actually face.

⸻

Accomplishments that we’re proud of

We are proud that we transformed a traditionally intimidating process into a conversational experience that feels approachable and actionable.

We are also proud of building a working system that can:

  • Capture founder intent through voice
  • Generate structured founder profiles in real time
  • Identify launch blockers
  • Create personalized operational dashboards
  • Guide founders toward execution instead of confusion

Most importantly, we built something centered around a community that is often underserved despite driving a huge amount of innovation and entrepreneurship.

⸻

What we learned

We learned that many international founders are not struggling because they lack ambition or technical skill — they struggle because the operational path is fragmented and unclear.

We also learned that conversational interfaces can dramatically reduce friction when dealing with complicated workflows. People are often more comfortable explaining their situation naturally than navigating rigid forms and documents.

Finally, we learned that trust and clarity matter just as much as automation when building tools in high-stakes domains like immigration, compliance, and business formation.

⸻

What’s next for LandingOS

Our next step is expanding LandingOS from a launch assistant into a full operational platform for immigrant founders.

We plan to add:

  • Deeper compliance and deadline tracking
  • Smarter document generation
  • Banking and incorporation integrations
  • Founder collaboration tools
  • AI-guided business setup recommendations
  • Multilingual support for non-native English speakers

Long term, we envision LandingOS becoming the default operating system for international founders building companies in the United States — helping them move from uncertainty to execution faster and with more confidence.
