Inspiration

Over the past few years of my career development, there have many times when I or someone else felt like they had not been progressing towards their goals. Often time this will lead to apathy or worse depression. This effect will only compound over time with leading to unsatisfactory outcomes for all parties involved. We have thus set out to make a change and help users reach their professional goals and dreams.

What it does

Our application will allow the user to log in, and manage their career path and set career goals. The app will make it simple for a user to input their job, compare the skills of that job versus the skills of their next desired job. In the apps current iteration, the goal would be to allow the software to integrate directly with companies internal services to help the user better find and utilize these resources. We would help employees and managers to offer specific roles across their organization that they may be able to help out with to gain valuable experiences.

How we built it

We build the app with a React Front-End, and an m-8 back end.

Challenges we ran into

Learning React in a very quick and time constrained value was incredibly difficult. We also had difficulty with injecting objects from 8 Base

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We each had to learn quite a lot to be able to bring this app to life in v-1, Learning, things like node.js, React, and technologies like 8 base.

What we learned

We learned valuable skills like harnessing the power of React js. Using new technologies like 8base and Google cloud services. We also were able to practice our soft skills within our team and out. Work together and overcome challenges as a team.

What's next for Land a job

What is next is to continue to harness the power of new technologies like 8base. Continue to grow with newly learned technologies like react js. Continue to grow and work on our soft skills and our time management skills.
