Inspiration
The Lake of Math website was inspired by the team's struggle for learning math in kindergarten through grade twelve. We all spent countless hours searching math resources on the internet that game examples and explained the concepts that were taught in school. We hope this site can save students time and energy in learning math by providing great resources in math all in one place!
What it does
The website groups math resources on their respective webpage in their own section. Each section has a recourse picture, title, and description. A student can click on the picture to go to the resource.
How we built it
The team built the website using react to handle the user interaction, HTML to display the text data on it, and CSS to make the website presentable.
Challenges we ran into
The team had little experience in HTML, React, and CSS. The use of all of the components was a challenge. The whole team had to learn the syntax of all components constantly to make the site presentable.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The team was able to learn a baseline of HTML, CSS, and react to make the site functional.
What we learned
The team learned how HTML, CSS, and React works witch will be useful in making future websites.
What's next for Lake of Math
The team can use what we learned to make the site more presentable and to add more dynamic interactions when the user interacts with the website.
