Inspiration

The inspiration behind Lady Casears is Detroit's own, Little Caesars. We thought it would be fun to make a creative way to promote users to buy pizzas. One inspiration was Starbucks, who releases the game "Starbucks for Life" around Christmas every year. It causes Starbucks lovers to come back to the app everyday, and give them the chance to win prizes/points they can use in real life. We also took inspiration from the Club Penguin Pizza game.

What it does

The game allows players to build orders within a time limit. If they are successful in completing orders, the player will earn points and eventually get to use their points toward a Little Caesars' pizza.

How we built it

For this project we used C# programming languages in Unity. We got 2d pizza assets from the Unity Store.

Challenges we ran into

This was our first time building a video game. We wanted to challenge ourselves and it was definitely a challenge! We used Unity to build our game and ran into a lot of learning challenges, such as uploading assets, creating C# script files, among many other issues.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

One thing we are very proud of accomplishing was getting the game to run properly. Three hours before the judging competition, our files were all deleted and we had to start from scratch!! It was a hurdle to overcome, but we are very proud of what we were able to rebuild within that short time period considering we had to rebuild the entire game over.

What we learned

We learned a lot of basic functions of Unity including script building, asset management, layering, and much more. We wanted to learn something new and do something fun and creative with a tool we haven't had the chance to use.

What's next for Lady Caesars

We would love for Lady Caesars to be a game that its consumers can interact with and enjoy from time to time. As mentioned earlier, the point system to earn free food is a great incentive to not only get some free food but also generate sales for Little Caesars
