Inspiration
Recently, we had learned about how certain plants can actually absorb the toxins in soil and reduce pollution. We were inspired by this and decided to research this idea as the foundation for our project.
What it does
Our project plants lavender on polluted land to restore it back to healthy soil and remove all the toxins.
How we built it
The main part of programming is thinking through an issue than finding a solution to the problem. After answering the question "How do we reduce soil pollution?" we had to ask ourselves "Where do we start?". We included a solution that involves programming to help us find land to plant the lavenders on.
Challenges we ran into
Some parts of our business were unclear since not all of us had a good grasp on how it works, but with the help of our teammates who were more well versed on the subject we were able to understand and continue.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Our entire business idea. We believe it's very creative and out of the box thinking, not something that you would expect. It incorporates both code and business, creating a real world solution to tackle the issue of soil pollution.
What we learned
We learned a lot more about soil pollution, and different strategies to tackle the issue.
What's next for L3
Implementing our code into our website, further refining business details.
