Inspiration

We came up with the idea of creating a project that helps medical professionals do their job, while keeping track of patients, calculating their BMIs and BPs, and booking appointments with the patients.

What it does

It provides the user with advice on their BMI and their blood pressure by selecting the calculate your BMI option on the website. Furthermore, the hospital management system helps keep track of patients coming inside the hospital, which then gets formatted and displayed into a diagram. In addition, this program optimizes book appointments for meeting patients by providing a list of dates and times of when the visitor can show up.

How we built it

We used python for the back end, and html and css for the front end. This was all done under replit.com.

Challenges we ran into

While we were doing the backend, we ran into an issue with adding a BMI checker with the rest of the code, which comprised of visitor and patient management. Also, while editing the frontend, we had an issue with displaying a message after the submission of the hospital management system form and the visitor times form saying that the submission was successful.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Being able to make sure that the code is fully functional and optimized visually to look at.

What we learned

We learned how to work together as a team, solve some challenges along the way, and critically think along the way. For example, trying to figure out how to redirect to the home page via the hospital management form and other forms.

What's next for L'Hospital

We plan to further develop the website, implement broader details into the system, and provide a better result based on the calculations done for the BMI and BP.
