Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Insurance

Inspiration

We were inspired to encourage more women entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs of color and small businesses in the non-emergency medical transportation industry where there is currently a lot of discrimination and double standards.

What it does

The app predicts based on demographic, location and socio-economic (car payment history, etc.) factors an insurance plan to most likely help these entrepreneurs succeed.

How we built it

We used figma and android studio as a basis for how to build an app and then focused on creating the front end design. Figma converts into Tailwind.

Challenges we ran into

We are not master programmers, so we had a lot of trouble determining the back-end part of an app and were unable to completely finish the project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We all learned new skills in app development and app building.

What we learned

We all practiced on new programs such as android studio and figma. We also learned a lot about loan rules and loan discrimination as well as the non-emergency medical tranportation industry.

What's next for l

We could try to add machine learning into the app as we became more experienced.
