Inspiration

During the hackathon, our team has studied the UN Agreement Governing the Activities of States on the Moon and Other Celestial Bodies from 1979, link: https://treaties.un.org/doc/Publication/UNTS/Volume%201363/volume-1363-A-23002-English.pdf.

On the basis of the studied material, it was proposed to consider the interplanetary architecture of the Kusama network and create software modules that implement article 6 "On freedom of scientific investigation", article 7 "On preventing disruption of the existing balance of its environment" and article 9 "On the establishment of manned and unmanned stations."

What it does

Hackathon repo: https://github.com/Vourhey/hackusama

The blockchain for data storage was created in accordance with the UN Agreement Governing the Activities of States on the Moon and Other Celestial Bodies from 1979.

The dapp https://mars.robonomics.network/ is connected to the Parachain and presents data collected by Mars-1 and Mars-2 agents.

The IoT infrastructure of the base camp “Mars -1” was assembled, and satellite equipment was used for transmitting data to the Kusama on Mars Parachain. Used robonomics io

The hardware and software parts for the rover “Mars-2” were developed and the rover was connected to the Kusama on Mars Parachain. Source: https://github.com/Vourhey/hackusama/tree/master/Rover

What's next for Kusama on Mars

Mars and Earth are in constant motion in their orbits, which is why the signal transit time between the planets changes, which means that the finalization time in the relay chain may actually change. We would like to try to implement a parachain with non-constant block time.
