Inspiration
NARSSS works in construction, a challenging and high stress work environment. To combat negativity and build team morale, she started Kudos Korner for her construction team with a submissions box made out of a donut box and handed out slips of paper to everyone weekly. Once a week the anonymous kudos were emailed to the team on a running thread. This exercise created many inside jokes, references, and laughs for the team to look back on.
this-is-fine made it real.
What it does
Kudos Korner incentivizes teammates to send anonymous messages of encouragement and kindness called kudos to their teammates to show their appreciation for others’ good work. With virtual work environments having become the norm for many organizations and work relationships experiencing more distance than in an in-person setting, people are experiencing increased mental health challenges like feelings of loneliness and depression. Kudos Korner fills the gap between remote teams by bringing teammates together in a centralized portal full of work-related compliments - kudos.
