Krshera- Empowering Bharat's Farmers

Inspiration

Indian farmers face fragmented information, unreliable market access, and lack of real-time support. Inspired by UNSDG 2 (Zero Hunger) and SDG 1 (No Poverty), we envisioned Krshera as a unified platform that makes farming smarter, more profitable, and sustainable. Our goal is to empower Bharat’s farmers with accessible technology, bridging knowledge gaps, climate resilience, and economic opportunity.

What it does

Krshera is a one-stop farming platform designed for inclusivity and resilience. It provides: AI-based crop & soil planning → SDG 2, SDG 12 Real-time weather & disease alerts → SDG 13 Govt. schemes & subsidy updates in local languages → SDG 1, SDG 10 Expert chat, voice guidance, video tutorials → SDG 4 Market prices, buyer-seller connections, agri-tools hub → SDG 8, SDG 9 Offline, multilingual access & farmer community hub → SDG 10, SDG 17 From soil testing to selling produce, Krshera supports farmers at every stage.

How we built it

We used the Vibe Coding V0 low-code approach to build a feature-complete prototype: Modular UI flow simulating crop planning, alerts, expert connect, and market access. Voice + language mock logic to show inclusivity features. Interactive visual demo as a clickable walkthrough of the farmer journey. Base Firebase setup for authentication and future data integration. Farmer-first navigation designed for low-tech literacy. This makes Krshera a working prototype, ready for stakeholder testing.

Challenges we ran into

Designing a UI/UX suitable for rural, non-tech-savvy users. Translating agri-tech data into actionable local language tips. Ensuring low-data usage and offline capabilities. Integrating real-time APIs for weather and mandi prices reliably.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Built a seamless end-to-end farming assistant prototype. Integrated multilingual voice support for accessibility. Designed an AI-based recommendation engine for crops & fertilizers. Optimized for low bandwidth, high impact Bharat-first infrastructure.

What we learned

Empathy-first design is critical for rural solutions. Trust and simplicity drive adoption among farmers. Scalable, modular architecture is essential for national-level impact. Simplified real-time data can transform farmer decision-making.

Transition to robust full-stack architecture (Flutter + Node.js + Cloud). Connect live APIs for weather, mandi prices, and government schemes. Launch a voice-first multilingual interface for low-end devices. Deploy an AI-powered crop & soil intelligence engine. Build a verified Farmer Community Hub for peer Q&A and learning. Partner with NGOs, agri-bodies, and buyers for field validation. Ensure privacy, offline functionality, and Bharat-ready infrastructure.
