Inspiration

Krow was inspired by a problem I could see around me: managing a small shop is not just about selling products. Shopkeepers also have to remember stock, track customer credit (udhaar), and understand how their business is doing. When records are scattered across notebooks, keeping everything organised can become difficult.

I wanted to explore how a simple digital tool could make these everyday tasks easier for small shopkeepers.

What Krow Does

Krow is a small-shop management app concept focused on three key areas:

  • Inventory management: Organising stock records.
  • Udhaar tracking: Keeping customer credit records in one place.
  • Business records: Helping shopkeepers review daily business information.

The goal is to make essential shop-management tasks simpler and more accessible.

How I Built It

I developed the Krow prototype using AI-assisted development tools and worked on shaping its features and user experience around the needs of small shopkeepers.

[Update this section with the actual tools you used, what you changed during Neighborhood Hacks, and which features currently work.]

Challenges and Learnings

One of the biggest challenges is making a digital tool simple enough for busy shopkeepers to use in their everyday routines. A useful product needs more than features: it needs a clear interface, reliable records, and a workflow that fits how people already manage their shops.

Working on Krow has helped me think more carefully about real user needs, practical product design, and the difference between building a prototype and creating something people will use consistently.

What's Next

I want to improve Krow's usability, test it with shopkeepers, and learn which features genuinely save them time. Future improvements could include multilingual support and easier customer-credit reminders, depending on feedback and technical feasibility.
