π± Inspiration
Agriculture is the backbone of Indiaβs economy, yet many farmers struggle with crop diseases, pest attacks, unpredictable weather, and limited access to expert guidance. Small and marginal farmers often lack immediate agricultural support, which leads to crop losses and financial stress. We were inspired to build KrishiNova AI to bridge this gap using artificial intelligence β making expert-level crop diagnosis and guidance accessible through a smartphone.
π€ What it does
KrishiNova AI is an AI-powered agricultural assistant that helps farmers diagnose crop problems using images, voice, and text. Farmers can upload a photo of an affected plant, describe symptoms via voice, or type their issue. The system analyzes the input and provides disease identification, treatment recommendations, fertilizer suggestions, and preventive measures. It also offers weather-based insights and farming best practices tailored to local conditions.
π How we built it
We built the frontend using React Native for cross-platform support (Android, iOS, and Web). Firebase was used for authentication and database management. AI image analysis was integrated using computer vision APIs, and NLP models were used for text and voice processing. The system architecture follows a scalable cloud-based approach.
