Inspiration
India's small, fragmented farms and persistent cloud cover make crop monitoring via satellite a nightmare for existing AI models. We were inspired to build a solution that sees through the monsoon, empowering farmers and policymakers with accurate, accessible data tailored for India's unique agricultural landscape.
What it does
KrishiDrishti is an AI agent that identifies crops across Northern India. It fuses SAR radar data (all-weather) and optical satellite imagery to create a resilient crop "fingerprint." Users can simply ask questions in natural language, like "What is the main crop in Prayagraj?" and the agent provides an immediate, data-driven answer.
What's next for KrishiDrishti
Expand Crop and Regional Coverage: Incorporate more crops and extend coverage to all of India.
Temporal Forecasting: Evolve from identification to predicting crop health and yield outcomes.
Pilot Deployment: Partner with agri-insurance companies or government agencies for a pilot program to validate our product in the field.
