Indian farmers face unpredictable weather, rising input costs, and poor access to real-time data. We wanted to bridge this gap β to create a digital companion that helps farmers make data-driven decisions, not guesses. Thatβs how KrishiX was born β a smart, accessible platform built to turn small farms into smart farms.

KrishiX is an AI-powered farming assistant that helps farmers:
- π¦οΈ Predict weather and crop diseases in real time
- π§ Get AI-driven suggestions for crop planning, fertilizers, and irrigation
- π§Ύ Access live market prices and best-selling points nearby
- πͺ΄ Scan soil using AI (via camera or connected IoT sensors) for instant health insights
- π¬ Chat with an AI or verified agri-expert for instant problem-solving
- π Track farm productivity, water use, and profit analytics
- π² Stay connected through voice-based updates for regional languages
π§© How we built it
We combined:
- Frontend: Flutter + Tailwind (cross-platform and responsive)
- Backend: Supabase + Node.js (for real-time data sync)
- AI Models: OpenRouter + Google Teachable Machine (for disease and soil analysis)
- APIs: Weather, market, and satellite APIs integrated for real-time data
- IoT Layer (optional): Raspberry Pi for soil & humidity tracking
π§ Challenges we ran into
- Building AI models that work accurately in low-data rural conditions
- Managing regional language translations for rural accessibility
- Handling real-time data efficiently across mobile networks with poor connectivity
- Designing a UI simple enough for all literacy levels while keeping it modern
