Krishi - An e-commerce portal to assist farmers

Inspiration

Agriculture is a significant sector in the Indian economy but the growers of agricultural products are not getting appropriate profit for their production. An unfair large amount of price paid by the consumers goes to the intermediates instead of actual farmers. Farmers are unable to reach consumers directly, and they have been depending upon the mediators to retail their products.

What it does

Krishi through an online website connects the farmers directly to the retailers removing all the intermediates for selling their products

How we built it

We used Python-Django for the backend HTML, CSS, JavaScript for frontend SQLite3 for the database

What we learned

We learned a new python framework Django and the Apriori Algorithm

What's next for Krishi - An e-commerce portal to assist farmers

In future, we planning to add an image processing option where uploaded goods first will be validated. Also, we will try to add text to the voice converter.
