Inspiration
Farmers are always exploited by the middleman who tends to take goods from farmers at lesser rates than what he sells to the consumers. In this way, farmers do not get the complete value of their hard work.
What it does
Krishi app helps the farmer to register their products online with many specified things such as price, photo, quantity available, Pin code, etc. By using the app, farmers can directly reach out to their customers without the involvement of middlemen. This would help them to get the best value for their product and improve their economic condition.
How we built it
The app was programmed in flutter, a programming language based on Dart created by Google.
Challenges we ran into
Frankly speaking, it was tough to figure out the way to get a simplistic UI for farmers to understand.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Since the app is for farmers, I have added localization to the app. I am finally able to help people who provide us food.
What's next for Krishi
The app only supports English and Hindi right now but I am looking forward to implementing more languages in the future.
