Inspiration
Kramashaha was inspired by a simple problem: many students memorize lessons without truly understanding them. Teachers often handle large classrooms and cannot give every student individual attention. We wanted to create a tool that makes step-by-step learning easier for both teachers and students.
What it does
Kramashaha lets teachers enter a topic and uses AI to break it into small, easy-to-understand lessons. Students learn one step at a time and answer a quick question before moving forward. Teachers review and approve AI-generated lessons before students access them.
How we built it
We built Kramashaha using AI-powered lesson generation with a teacher-controlled workflow. The system takes a topic, creates structured bite-sized learning steps, generates questions, and presents them through a simple student learning flow. We designed it with low-tech and low-internet classrooms in mind.
Challenges we ran into
Our biggest challenge was making AI-generated content simple enough for students while keeping it educationally meaningful. We also had to design a workflow where teachers remain in control instead of blindly trusting AI. Keeping the experience fast and simple was another challenge.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud to have turned an ancient Indian step-by-step learning concept, Krama-Paṭha, into a modern AI-powered learning experience. We also built a workflow where teachers can review AI-generated content before it reaches students.
What we learned
We learned that using AI in education is not just about generating more content. The real value comes from breaking complex concepts into manageable steps and keeping teachers involved in the learning process.
What's next for Kramashaha
We want to expand Kramashaha with multilingual learning, voice-based lessons, personalized learning paths, offline support, teacher analytics, and curriculum-aligned content for Indian classrooms.
