Inspiration
Our inspiration boiled down to thinking on how to make data provided in the files given accessible to whoever may look at the dashboard regardless of skill. We also took inspiration on how we would like to see things if we were the persons accessing the dashboard.
What it does
Our product should show the different KPIs available and the ability to do customization with adding and deleting methods. We want to provide simplicity for whoever access so we kept it simple not too much information, just the one needed to get the point across. A user can add multiple KPIs to one dashboard and save it or delete including sorting different portions of the KPIs like pictures and allowing users to view graphs in multiple ways.
How we built it
Well since we could not code much of it we decided to just design the user interface, how it would look like if we were to have more people, resources and time.
Challenges we ran into
Well our first mistake was not teaming up with more people so that work could be distributed more instead of just the two of us. Secondly we both know different languages and not enough time to learn a language that would allow us to complete the project.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We at least created the UI for the project and came up with an idea. We also did not give up, we were so close when we realized we could not code it but in the end we at least have something to show.
What we learned
Firstly and most importantly since this is our first hackathon. we learned how hackathons work and that choosing the right teammates is key to success. Secondly, we still have a lot to learn regarding coding languages and what we can do with them. This was mostly a realization that we need to try harder and be open to new things.
What's next for KPI Dashboard
Learn JavaScript, and another language that both me and my partner for this project can understand and get better at doing APIs so we actually code the product. Might take us a long time but we will finish it.
