Inspiration

The concept for KOVA began with a simple visual idea: a lightning bolt striking a parked car and bringing it to life.

I tested the concept using AI tools to see if the imagery could match the idea's potential. After creating a rough proof-of-concept, I saw it could work. The moment had weight. it felt mythic and elemental.

From there, I committed to building a full speculative brand and commercial around it. I've always been drawn to work that immerses you in atmosphere, where the environment itself becomes a character. With KOVA, I leaned into that instinct fully. I wanted audiences to feel the gathering storm, the charge in the air, the moment of impact, and the release as the car drives off into the clearing sky.

The film became a meditation on power, patience, and the relationship between technology and the natural world.

What It Does

KOVA is a speculative luxury EV commercial that uses visual storytelling over traditional product messaging. Instead of listing features, the film communicates the brand philosophy through atmosphere and metaphor: electric vehicles as extensions of nature's energy.

The narrative follows a simple emotional arc: calm, tension, climax, release - anchored by a single dramatic moment. A lightning strike that awakens a dormant car on a remote Norwegian ridge.

With minimal voiceover and heavy emphasis on sound design and cinematography, it feels less like a traditional ad and more like a short film. The goal is to leave the audience with awe, desire, and a sense of connection to the brand's ethos—proving that AI-generated content can deliver the emotional depth and production value of high-budget commercials.
