Inspiration

Our team was inspired to create a website that displays an isochrone map with nearby points of interest after realizing the need for a more comprehensive travel planning tool. While traditional isochrone maps are incredibly useful for visualizing travel time between two locations, they do not provide any information about the points of interest that may be located within the travel time radius.

What it does

Just place a marker on map and it will show you all points of interest within a 15 minute walk.

How we built it

Using laravel, Isochrone API and map by mapbox.

Challenges we ran into

Finding a free map API that would fit our criteria.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of the fact we were able to create a rather complex project and make it incredibly user intuitive.

What we learned

We learned to work with extensive data sets, data analysis, and new APIs.

What's next for KosiceInMinutes

In the near future we hope to further expand on the usefulness of our website by adding new features, optimizing the website performance and expanding the database with new and improved data sets.
