Inspiration

e-com brands should have 30%+ of their revenue from email marketing, but small brands and solopreneurs don't have $10k/month for an agency and don't have design, coding, and marketing strategy skills in-house. they do have $100-$1,000/month for an agent that does this work for them.

What it does

every week, kopi creates 10 draft campaign ideas based on newsjacking, finding relevant google trends and news articles as foundations for campaigns relevant to a brand's audience. it generates two versions of each idea, scores them out of 100, and automatically schedules the top two in klaviyo. three cron jobs drive it: start of each week, create five ideas for two weeks ahead, generate emails for next week's ideas, schedule this week's campaigns.

How we built it

the email marketing agent itself, klaviyo integration, autonomous scheduling, idea generation, scoring, was built from scratch today using macroscope for review, kiro for development agent, and ghost for storage. using external api for individual template creation.

Challenges we ran into

time

Accomplishments that we're proud of

fully autonomous marketing agent that goes end-to-end: comes up with campaign ideas from relevant news and google trends, generates html campaigns for particular brands, and automatically schedules two per week in klaviyo via the api.

What we learned

cannot add emails to automated flow via klaviyo api -- requires computer use agaent.

What's next for kopi ai email marketing agent

learning from performance data, reverse feedback loop to see what was most effective from previous weeks and improve future campaigns.
