What it does
One of the best genres in the game world is Role-Playing Game (RPG). We usually develop a character from the beginning until He reaches its goal. But, how if the character is ourself? We are already playing a complex game called "Real Life", and now we gamify our life.
Start with setting up your goal of life, how to achieve it, how your daily task can bring you there and so on. You will be a partner with virtual you, He will level up from what you achieve in your real life. He will remind you at the beginning and the end of your day, so you will not miss a thing. Bring back your spirit to continue your life.
Inspiration
My inspiration is various productivity books and tools, such as 7 Habits by Stephen Covey, Benjamin Franklin's daily schedule, Habitica and moments by any.do.
I also encouraged to make it because I see too many youngsters, including some of my friends, suffer from a quarter-life crisis. One of the reason is they don't know what is their goal in his/her life. They do something because out of habit. One day they feel anxiety because of unknown reason. I tell them about one of my reference above and they start to recover by himself/herself.
With this software, I hope we can spreadly share about how important to know your life goals.
How I built it
We are the team of two person. Tegar is responsible for code and Ryan is responsible art. First of all, we talk about the goal of this project and how to achieve it. After that, we create flow for the game. We work separately and discuss online in different city.
Most of our art used in this project is created by Ryan and from open game art. This platform using fb login for authentication and react.js for UI and communicating with backend. For reminder, we use messenger for sending a message.
Challenges I ran into
This is my first time creating games, especially with html5 games. There are so many component that need to be handle. User input strategy is also different with normal web page.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
