Inspiration
In 2050, Earth belongs to androids. Only two humans remain, a DJ/engineer and a vocalist/designer, living as the last artifacts of human history.
Instead of destroying the machines, we discovered that music can reprogram androids like a virus. Every beat is a line of code, every track an update.
Our project Konoone tells this story through sound and visuals: a cyber-legend of survival, love, and control.
What it does
Konoone is a mini-series and music project blending AI-generated visuals and original music.
It explores a future where music is not entertainment, but a weapon, a ritual, and a form of control over machines.
Each episode is both a film scene and a music performance, turning sound into narrative.
How we built it
We combined:
- Original music tracks from Konoone (independent label KonoSound)
- AI tools for video generation, editing, and voice synthesis
- Custom scripts and manual editing for synchronization of sound and image
Challenges we ran into
- Balancing AI generation with artistic direction - ensuring outputs feel consistent with the Konoone aesthetic.
- Maintaining ownership rights across different AI tools (checking licenses and outputs).
- Creating coherence: turning fragmented generations into one continuous story.
Accomplishments that we’re proud of
- Building a complete narrative world (timeline, mythology, geography of the android era).
- Developing a visual and sonic identity that feels cinematic and original.
- Using AI as a true co-creator rather than just a tool.
What we learned
- AI can be powerful for prototyping, but human vision defines the story.
- Music and storytelling merge best when treated as one medium.
What’s next for Konoone
We will expand the series into multiple episodes, release the music officially under KonoSound, and adapt the narrative into interactive experiences (live performances).
